COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course will introduce you to Microsoft Excel basics including creating spreadsheets, formulas, functions, text, formatting and charts. At the completion of the course you will be able to perform basic Excel skills such as modifying an existing worksheet, building worksheets, copying and moving cells and much more.
TOPICS COVERED INCLUDE:
- Navigating learning the intricacies of the Excel Interface.
- Using commands, and creating and saving workbooks
- Entering cell data, creating formulas, functions and reusing them.
- Modifying and Formatting worksheets
- Managing workbooks, sheet tabs, views, printing overview, and headers & footers
- Learning about quick chart creation and how to quickly modify them.
COURSE OUTCOMES
- Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:
- Develop a solid comfort level with the interface and basics of Excel.
- Demonstrate to themselves how to create spreadsheets
- Learn the basics of formula construction and the role the Order of Precedence plays when designing formulas
- Creating beginning Functions (automated formulas), working with ranges, and learning how auto-filling can make a snap of spreadsheet construction.
- Develop skills customizing both Columns and Rows, like widening, inserting, deleting, and relocating.
- Exploring the different ways of Format Cells using the ribbons, dialog boxes and shortcut menus. As well as clearing cells, page setup and printing.
- Learn how to create and edit quick charts.
- Encourage employee satisfaction and motivation by creating a fun working environment.
